definition of exploit

by takag » Mon Mar 30, 2015 7:34 pm

Just saw the thread by viper saying numerous acc got banned.

I am wondering what is considered to be exploit and what is not. Does grinding ST boss for gold as hunter considered to be exploit? (hunters you know how that mechanism work)

Thanks so much for the clarification.

Google defines an exploit as:

In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers.

Common sense means no hacking, cheating or exploiting the server simply because the process of leveling up, getting gold or farming rep (faction and PVP) is "too hard". This is vanilla WOW. Everything in vanilla is hard. That's why veterans like it. People need to know that vanilla WOW is not Warlords of Draenor WOW. We actually have to work for our gold, our gear sets, our raid success, our quests, our levels and our professions... and at times we even need to go outside our comfort zone and ask others for help.
