Few things people didnt mentioned in this topic, from former rogue' point of view

1) Decide what type of rogue is beating crap out of you. Its fairy easy to do. He uses daggers? You got Hemo debuff on you? Unlike on retail, all powerful dagger abilities require you to attack from behind, so turn your face to dagger rogues as much as you can. With Nost' evening lags, daggers shall be very hard for pvp :)

2) Some people here adviced not to cast shadow spells. As alliance SP i found that you shall cast as much as you can, because shadow damage = blackout chance. One lucky proc can save you.

3) There was a debate about opening with sap > premed > expose armor. For current gear level (most of SPs here are around 4k hp I assume) you dont need such tricks. Probably vs. full r13 set sp, but not vs MC/blue geared people. And that stuff only good for duels, in world pvp you usually start pretty straightforward, by either unleashing your stuns or unloading your damage. Its my personal experience/opinion ofc, you may disagree.

4) If we speak about world pvp, abuse pots, engineering, magic dust and trinkets/offhands as much as you can. That guy wants to wreak you face, give him all you got. Duels require some code of honour, so its totally different there. Some stuff that can make your life vs. rog easier is : Goblin helmet (dont remember the correct name, 30 sec incasipate effect, plenty of time to heal/drink/dot rogue), grenades (1 more CC vs rogue is nice), free/living action potion (immunity to stun, watch out for blind tho), healing/mana potions (especially on levelling, as I find my mana pool horribly small for 2+ opponents).

5) As someone above noticed, watch rogue' energy. Kick costs like 10, Gouge is around 40, watch his CDs to know what CC he will use.

CS>KS is an ok opener, those who worry about DR imagine rogue can Gouge, restealth, sap, and voila DRs are clear again. Also keep in mind that some rogue abilities do fixed damage that doesnt need gear, so fresh 60 rogue will be still doing some nice damage with lets say Eviscerate, while you will need some gear/spd to beat him up.

Undeads ofc have it alot easier, because of Devouring Plague and fact that they wont meet Undead rogues, heh.

Anyway, hope I was helpful and you got some ideas out of this post. May Elune replenish your mana.
