Healing focus can't really be skipped. A lot of boss fight do raid damage, and on all of those you'll need it. So unless you want to respecc for every boss, you should consider putting it in your build.

Renew is one of the mroe powerfull spells priest have. The hps and mana efficiency is huge compared to other priest spells. Of course, this efficiency is balanced by the fact that it wil produce a lot of overhealing. But Renew is also the only spell that allow you proactive healing on multiple targets. When used correctly, this spell is one of your best tools as priest, and you should definitely specc into it.

The PoH range isn't really needed in most case from my experience. The default range is large enough and you'll rarelly have bad surprises. I personally put a 40yard range check on my ui, default poh is 30 ... Considering you're usually in a caster group and that casters are not so spread (in most encounters), there is no urge speccing it.

Crit isn't really a stat priest needs. Our biggest tool is Healing Power. Our healing range is already huge enough (see how much GH does) not to need to crit. For example, pala mainly use FoL which is very quick and cost very few mana ... but heals for nearly nothing per cast. That's why they are anger for crit. As priest, you much less rely on crits and instead chose a higher rank. This is why I wouldn't put 5/5 on this talent.
I do however put 3/3 inspiration: even if it doesn't proc often, it is a good buff to have on tanks.

You can change some talents depending on encounters or gameplay preferences.
For example, for KT progression I'd put points in Improved PoH, since this is a spell you'll use often there (after each volley) and it is extremely mana costly.
For C'thun and KT porgression I also put points in Spell Warding since there is very important magic damage on raid there.
There are some fights where you need to heal tanks more than the raid. Or where you don't take raid damage at all. In those case you can remove imp renew, get more crit, remove healing focus .... Stuff like that.

But the linked specc is probably the one that fits most encounters and -unless try hard or specific boss progression - you won't need to respecc often with that one.
