Divine Fury/Smite

I'm absolutely new to vanilla, so there's lots of things I don't understand...and this one I'm uncertain of.

Does anyone else have 5 points in Divine Fury and is thinking the cast time of Smite has not been reduced by .5 seconds? It seems to me that it isn't the same cast time as say...mindblast.

Does anyone have some type of timer in their damage meter that can time the cast?

Any input is helpful. thanks.

Smite has a 2.5 basic cast time.
Mind blast has a 1.5 basic cast time.

It does. I didn't realize it was literally subtracting it in stated cast time. thanks a bunch my friend.

Also the cast time goes up on some ranks, i believe the first rank is 1.5seconds and it goes up to 2.5 by rank 3 or 4. Not at pc so cannot check
