Holy DPS?

Holy DPS?

Is there much use for using Holy dps spells such as Smite? I have thought about a Holy/Shadow spec or the traditional Discipline/Holy spec only because I dislike the fact Mind Blast has a cooldown and Mind Flay has a 20 yard range.

do you mean as in a raid or like leveling cause i highly doubt any raid would let you dps as holy over any other class that could dps

Well obviously not raiding, Vanilla only allowed Priests to be healers. it's more of a fun underdog spec as far as I'm aware, some people like the the Holy Fire and Power Infusion combo for the powerful casts, the only downfall is you'll lack the Silence spell and you'll you'll won't do as much overall beefy damage as a Shadow. Then there was my idea of a Holy and Shadow build but thinking about that one now might be too much of a mixed bag.

To level and to Bg its 100% fine. Just forget Power Infusion. You need 26 point in holy (the angel form is really sweet in pvp), and 5 in shadow.

Get the 25% spirit in spell dmg and get spirit tap. That never gonna do as much dmg as shadow but you can heal quite well. That give you an extra 20points to put where ever you like.

More in holy , more is disp , or more in shadow.

Advantage Holy: well you heal better
Shadow: Since you already get 5 point in shadow that mean you can get silence.
Disp: Well meditation , improve shield + improve mana burn are all really good.

I always leveled my priest as holy and spirit tap and i never had any problem
