Lv 60 Healing Specs?

Lv 60 Healing Specs?

by PanTheSatyr » Mon Aug 31, 2015 7:05 pm

Can someone post the "standard" healing specs for a Lv 60 Priest? All the links I can find point to WoW Provider which hasn't been up in ages. Thanks!

So is the reduced threat not a big deal? I figured that'd be a staple to get, but looks like only 1/5 is taken here. It's been 10 years since since I ran end game dungeons on a 60 Priest so I don't remember what the threat management was like.

I heal raids in PvP spec atm and threat isn't an issue at all. It probably won't be any trouble whatsoever until you try Broodlord with an undergeared group.

Unless you do some stupid shit like putting a HoT on the tank on pull :P

Priests don't usually have problems with threat, and if you do - just pop fade and it will give your tanks plenty of time to get the treat back!

If you feel like you need to use fade more often than you can get it off cooldown, just switch some of the Improved PW:S points to threat reduction instead.

In current content the only time I've had issues with threat is doing a 20man ony where the main tank isn't prot so no shield bash + some other healers died so I have to spam the tank. Other than that very specific scenario you will never have to worry about threat

Does nobody grab Spirit of Redemption, and why not?

From a PvE perspective you are trading 5% spirit to healing for the spirit of redemption which is only useful if you are dying. The ~15ish healing will benefit you and your raid far more than being able to heal 10 more seconds on the 1-2 times you MIGHT die on a run.

A note about fade and taunt. Fade is temporary, as we all know, and if memory serves, taunt grants the tank +10% of the aggro of the player who currently has threat, so if a tank taunts off of you while you're faded, there is a chance that you can regain aggro when fade wears off. It's not a huge chance, and its rare, but I've had it happen to me on occasion. It's best to fade after the taunt if at all possible.
