whatever gear has spell damage int and stam is good. u want enough stamina so u dont get wrecked by rogues or warriors instantly.
against casters try to use mana burn as much as possible while keeping yourself healed with pots/whipper root/desperate prayer. they will use fucktons of mana trying to kill you and will be oom very fast with you mana burning aswell.
if a mage counterspells mana burn then switch to healing and laugh at him as he tries to kill you.
i carry net o matic for vsing warriors and rogues, its pretty useful.
if rogue opens on you: trinket stun > fear > pop FAP > dot rogue to keep him out of stealth> pop rocket boots > mind flay/ mind blast > GG
rocket boots arent essential but i always carry FAP otherwise rogues will just stunlock you to death.
best plan is not to spend tons of mana trying to kill enemies with mind blast but take it slower, since you have heals. prioritize dots and mana burn vsing casters and dots and mind flay vsing melee. get mind blast off when u know you CAN.
i carry: mana pots, whipper root and dragons breath, demonic runes, swiftness potion, iron grenade, magic dust, FAP. i always try to keep this stuff with me for pvp.
against MAGES they will either counterspell you when you are casting shadow dmg meaning you WIN or if they are smart they will keep CS when you need to heal. i would say try to avoid doing: trinket poly > silence since they can just ice block then re poly and then you're fucked. either wait the poly out and spam shield ready for their burst. after initial burst they will come to you in melee range and use all their instant dmg spells so silence then. i think most mages here play elemental so try stay as far away from them as u can which is pretty hard, i usually lose to them if they dont suck.
get the skull of impending doom and equip it if you think you're going to fight a mage.
this is just from my experience of mostly world pvp so it might be quite wrong, if so somone correct me so i can learn too, hope it helped a bit though.
