I've been fooling around with MC quite a bit lately and I noticed that the aggro of a controlled mob is not transferred to me after the mob dies.

Meaning that priests could conceivably solo-clear anything where they can use MC, albeit slowly. Because you can MC one mob of a pack, then when it does, the rest of the pack ignore you. MC another one, get it killed, and so on. Either nuke the last mob of a pack or place yourself so that you can MC it and use it to fight the next pack.

I don't know if this is a bug or the way MC worked back in the day.

It's a recent thing that emerged when they sneak "fixed" nobody-knows-what... enjoy while it lasts, I guess.
Admittedly it introduced several new bugs to the spell, like sometimes you can use the mob's abilities but they do absolutely nothing, etc

I am not aware, whether this is related or not.

It happens sometimes, yes. I've noticed that if you MC a mob and the other mobs kill it, those other mobs won't aggro to you.

I don't know of any high level content that you'd be able to really "solo", though. A few trash packs in BRD, sure, but nothing else.

The only info I could find (Wowwiki) suggested that a Mind Controlled mob has an entirely separate aggro table and its actions should not affect you, but I don't know if this is the case in vanilla (or if it ever was the case because wowwiki isn't the most reliable source).

Weird. I've done 3 or 4 MCs in a row and not gotten any DCs.

I was MCing the lbrs mob on sunday to give out FR buffs with no issues
