new shadow priest

Hello everyone!
I just have started on this AWESOME vanilla server and rolled a dwarf priest (going for shadow).

I have read most of the topics in this forum but have one question:
what nonraid items are the best before starting pvp.
i havent found any link to this.

well if you want to focus on pvp i would start playing alterac valley as soon as youre level 50 so that when youre level 60 youre honored or revered to get the reputation gear (neck, cloak, belt and staff). you should also have farmed enough honor by then to be close to rank 7/8 to get the first 2 or 4 set pieces of the pvp set. maybe get felcloth hood and shoulders until youre rank 10. in addition to that get the pvp bracers from the pvp vendor and farm a little bit warsong gulch reputation so you can get double rings. put some cheap enchants on this stuff and you should be good.

God, please no. There's more than enough Korrak lovers (who can't even hit an enemy player) in the games already. But they at least leave after killing Korrak.

It should be, but most of the mobs there are low lvl 50s, so it's not a great way to grind past lvl 54 or so.

How I do it:

- find a good pve spec and lvl up with questie+vanilla guide
- hit 60 and buy 3 set pieces of lock t0 (BOE on ah for around 25g for all of them)
- farm scholo and other dungeons a bit for head/shoulders etc
- invest a bit and enchant your gear (no need for top tier enchants you will change the gear soon)

And only at this point I respec and start doing some real pvp. AVing on low lvl is not a good idea same as farming honor/rank while lvling. However with lock t0 which focus on int/stam stats its very easy to get decent HP boost so you would not be 1-2 shotted by everyone who hit 60 2 weeks before you.

what equipment do i need to ged anathema? (i hope, that there are raid guilds, who take me with them for the loot)

another question: i have searched for anathema stats and the rank14 staff stats to compare them.
but on the internet there are different versions. can someone post them pls.

Anathema: 22 Stamina, 31 Int, 20 Shadow Resistance, 7 mp/5, 69 Shadow-Spelldamage
R14 Staff: 36 Stamina, 20 Int, 15 Spirit, 44 Spelldamage/Healing
(Rank 14 Staff will get updated to 41 Stamina, 23 Int, 17 Spirit, 71 Spelldamage/Healing in a later Patch)
