So right now I use mana burn in place of Mind Flay in between MB cd's on mages and warlocks.
Are hunters worth doing this with? pallys? Am I doing it totally wrong? lol
Thanks!

You should be healing people instead
For real though, burn probably isn't worth it if you're targeting a caster with full mana. You'll need like 5 burns to deplete the guys mana, and a lock can just lifetap back and /rofl at you. But if they're half mana and you can basically turn them off completely in 5 seconds, go for it.
Healers? Definitely. Hunters? I would say pointless, just kill him fast instead.

Mana Burning Warlocks is typically not the brightest idea. They can life tap their mana back up or even Drain Mana if it does come down to a battle of mana attrition (ie. if you're outhealing their damage, they might target your mana). Additionally they will likely have a Felhunter in PvP, and with a Curse of Tongues Mana Burn becomes a 4.8 second cast plus interrupts. Mages have a harder time recovering their mana but their mana pools are so massive when you factor in their mana gem, you'll be wasting a lot of time doing this too. I have my doubts how effective it is to win those fights with Mana Burn while they can spend their time unloading damage into your face.
Paladins on the other hand are a good idea to Mana Burn because they typically win fights by outlasting their opponents plus they have shoddy int so when you shut down their mana pool they're generally finished.

If you have improved mana burn, it can be very useful for any class that doesn't have an easy method of regaining their mana pool quickly. Priests are quite vulnerable as PWS eats lot of mana to begin with but beware that their heals aren't that greedy. Druids too as they can easily go oom even without it and depriving them of their heals and shapechange is beneficial.
Hunters, as others said, I wouldn't bother.
