LF PvP guild (or possibly creating one)

by Mek » Thu Feb 12, 2015 4:38 am

Hey there!

Lover of PvP here, and I'm looking to either join a PvP guild, or create one, if there currently are none being formed right now.

I've played this game since retail Vanilla, and after playing through all of the expansions, I've realized just how much I've missed Vanilla WoW. Decided to check out some Vanilla private servers, and I've read nothing but great things about this. I saw that this will soon be coming out and it seems like the perfect opportunity to start fresh at the same time as everybody else! Please let me know if there is any interest.

I will most likely be leveling Warrior first!

If you're going alliance, I would love to start one with you. Ozzky also contacted me about this. So we are with 3 at least :-)

Why not join a guild and create a pvp side to it? :)

Problem with that: Too often you end up getting pushed into raiding and helping out your guilds PvE goals when you really just want to PvP.

Also - generally a lot less drama in pure PvP guilds since we're not fighting over dropped gear and DKP.

If there is a structured PvP guild forming and the members aren't a bunch of jack-asses, I'll be all over joining. I plan on living in Alterac Valley!

I see your point, like I don't know what guilds here around are like nor the people. But if you join a Raiding guild and your plan is to pvp, but want to be in a bigger community. Then the deal is you get to pvp and in return the guild gets an active and at least half assed social member.

And to the part of joining a guild to make pvp part in it, now that will req an applicant for a officer spot. Not related to raiding, but pvp/class and such. Anyway this is just how I see it at least :)

I'm also not sure yet how I am willing to do it. I was also thinking about creating a chat channel that connects people with the same ideas.

As i'm also planning to live in AV, I think we will only be with a few. And if you create a guild with 10 people, chances are you're going to be the only one online often.

With the chat channel you can create a bigger group of raiding people as well that likes to do PVP and other fun stuff when they're not raiding. That group is bigger, you can create a channel of more than 100 people. Chances are that you're then able to gather more people for something PVP related.

Anyhow, these are just ideas and thoughts. I feel more people have the same ideas as I have like Abcynia, Mek, Ozzky, etc. The only thing we must discuss together now is how to arrange everything to create and stay a strong group.

I agree that a chat system like mIRC would be nice, at least better than no guild or a regular spot to crew up.
Still strongly believe in guilds having more than pure pvp or pve on a private server is important. Considering the fewer numbers in populous and even worse the lack of dedication over the long run. Small guilds/communities die all the time.

So I hope that you all will stay and keep the realm strong and active! I want to do some AV aswell, but will prob be main PvE.

Appreciate the comments, guys!

I'm still on the fence between Horde and Alliance. I'm originally a Horde member, but when my friends/siblings started playing, they forced me to re-roll Alliance. I kind of miss playing as Horde, and they usually dominate in PvP. It would be a nice change after playing Alliance for so long. However, I have not decided completely yet. Would love to hear your opinions!

I think joining a raiding guild for the community would be great, even if I only PvP in it. The only problem I see is that I would be an outsider, being the only non-raider.

I do like the idea of getting PvPers into a channel for communication.

Mate, 40man raids = the only one that is an outsider is the guy who is lvl 59 :P If you want to raid, that's cool if you don't that is nice aswell because less gear competition and better shot at us getting carried in bg's by you :P

Haha, I'd be happy to carry people in BGs! As long as my team has awareness and can listen to strat calls :P
