Guilds in WoW have a variety of goals. No single guild will ever fit every person's play-style, social needs or progression goals. The core of Sprite has found that we value playing together and growing as a group more than any other element of this game. Make no mistake, sub 60 minute MC's and clearing all raid content in a single night is the immediate goal of this group. Where we differ is how we choose to pursue this objective.
We previously raided under the Surge tag and managed to go from fresh 60's to clearing BWL in two months time. One of the greatest challenges facing a progression guild is the fact that not all players progress at the same rate. Everyone in our raid enjoys playing the game at the highest level, but we are not willing to sacrifice our community or friendships for smoother progression or easier gear.
We recently had our first single night BWL clear and are working towards clearing MC/BWL on the same night before AQ drops. We currently have around 30-35 core players for our raids. Some have been playing together for years and others have joined us in the past two months as fresh 60's.
There is something special about vanilla when you find 40 people with a common goal and experience your guilds progression and achievements together. We are determined to build a consistent raid group who values playing together first, and crushing raids second. Clearing PvE content is immensely easier than building or finding a group you will enjoy playing with for years at a time.
We play hard. Consumables are expected and DM-N buffs are strongly encouraged. What you will not find with Sprite is negative criticism, closed social circles or drama. One thing we all have in common is none of us work all day to come home and act like a teenage girl behind a computer screen. We all recognize criticism is a necessary ingredient to growth, but there is a clear distinction between constructive criticism and tearing other players down. If you enjoy acting like a child, or if you are a child, then this guild is not for you.
We are currently focused on finding other likeminded individuals who are committed to our vision. If you are interested in joining us and our raid times work for you, make a point to talk to some of our members. Run some instances or hang out in our Discord for a day or two. We care more about the type of people we play with and their commitment to the group than your current gear or raidstats. We make a point to foster a lighthearted and fun environment for people who choose to play this game with us even while we aim to play it at the highest level.
