Dreadsteed of Xoroth bug?

Reposting this because it never got up for some reason....

I completed the ritual for Dreadsteed of Xoroth and proceeded to kill it along with the dreadlord. For some reason the Dreadsteed spirit died though, making me unable to turn in the quest. How is this possible? I remember in retail when I did the quest, the spirit was passive and unattackable and basicly served as the quest completer.

Is this a known bug? I have opened a ticket for this and I'm still waiting. Anyone else having this isssue?

I've seen it happened many times, basically it's someone repicking that as target and attacking it again after you kill it. Just make sure you talk to the horse first thing when it's killed, you can talk to it even though it's trying to kill someone and 7k hp is plenty of time.

I went back with another group and did it. Just make sure no one uses aoe or pets on aggressive mode when the dreadsteed dies and immediately run up to the spirit to complete the quest.
