Improved Drain Soul Broke

Seems more like it needs the mob to die to shadow damage while channeling drain soul to proc the talent. Corruption and Shadow Bolt both work, but Immolate and pet attacking won't.

For it to work the Drain Soul needs to get the final damage, not your pet or DoTs. And yes this is how it is intended to be so there is nothing to fix.

Thanks at least you helped me, I didn't realize he was last hitting every time I just remember I used to get it quite often on the live server in vanilla, I think at some point they made it so either you or your pet could last hit it long as you have drain soul going.

Hmm, the more I look at it the more I see that it should still work even if your pet or you lands the final blow. Although I also see that before patch 2.0.1 a Warlock would need to have it casting to 10 seconds for it to work. So it may indeed not be working as intended, but the talent will definitely activate if your Drain Soul lands the killing blow.
