This was bugged on feenix for a long time, so it wouldn't surprise me if the same was true here.

Really easy to test with two people.

You'll probably want to get this sorted before you kids are supposed to be tanking in AQ40.

ps. thread title should be "than" rather than "then." Then is a series of events, than is a contrast.

Just put this on bug tracker, it also appears that suffering is doing more then 600 threat. More like 1300.

Either way Searing Pain threat isn't working as intended.

Honestly, it woulldnt even matter. In SR gear, you're searing pain doesn't really even do enough damage to hold threat against fire mages and other locks, and given all the adds on that fight, most guilds don't even have them dps the emperor's anyway. So you can do just fine holding threat over the healers with shadow bolt.

What it WILL make a difference on is if (for god knows what reason) your raid decides to do Ayamiss, where your nr gear does have spell power on it and it is necessary to spam searing pain and have your fire mages and warlocks watch their threat.

confirmed, searing pain doesnt do any serious agro like it should do.

If KTM is accurate, it does 1x threat, a 330 hit being listed as ~330 threat.

KTM is accurate, and it shows it at x2 threat, so if you hit 330 searing pain it should give 660 threat. KTM reports this as it should but it actually doesn't give that threat.

KTM ED edition absolutely doesn't. A 300 hit is 300 threat, no more, no less.

You're basing your point on KTM Emerald Dream edition? the most bugged vanilla server to have exist?

Actual versions of KTM from vanilla era show the x2 threat values. Searing pain actually doesnt gain that threat as shown in KTM because it's bugged on the server. Most likely was bugged on Emerald Dream aswell, which is why that version of KTM was modified to show bugged values.

Makes sense, I was just saying that my threatmeter seems accurate so far and also showed Searing Pain at 1x threat.
