Are warlocks one of the best classes in pvp?

Sarcasm not needed; Warlocks do hit extremely hard if spec'd right, but typically the damage does come at the cost of being a bit less tanky and easier to kill if targeted.

The that involves letting somebody survive long enough to target you, Kek~

They are immune for 5 seconds and then they have their trinkets too. Ally warlock pvp is not so fun.

While I agree that WotF is important, saying don't play a warlock because undeads is not really fair. There's nothing better than playing a suicide bombing warlock with a paladin pocket healer, no matter if you're horde or alliance, BoP is just too strong and your damage, combined with your CC (yes, you still get full fears of all the time) means you're easily one of the strongest players in any BG you play, with very few being able to beat you in 1v1s (Rogues and Warriors no matter race has a fair chance in duels, while most others doesn't. Assuming they get felhunter to work normally again.)

Its kind of true. SL and SM/ruin are mutally exclusive specs. You can't be SM/Ruin with soul link. Additionally, you can't be SM/Ruin with fel stamina, which means you're not going to have an insanely high health pool. However, if you are a Soul link spec, it is possible to reach 5k health relatively easily, and 6k health with fort and motw.

Locks are indeed pretty strong in pvp, but they're not a core class like a mage, warrior, or priest. Maybe your composition will not be optimal without a lock, but it is definitely viable, whereas you cannot have a composition without a mage(s) warrior(s) or priest(s).

In 1v1 locks are very strong, especially with a Soul link spec. However, in 1v1 nothing is as strong as a rogue. (sorry warriors are not counters to a rogue who is willing to pop literally every single cooldown and abuse diminishing returns.)

The only class that wotf even matters against is a rogue, and it doesn't even matter in that case. Any rogue, undead or not, who loses to a warlock, is absolute shit.
