For times where threat needed extra attention or raid-wide damage, have your imp out. For fights where your pet didn't risk dying frequently and threat wasn't a huge issue, have the succy out for +10% all damage. If the fight was one where your pet would die a lot despite your best management, just sac succy for +15% (or VW in fights where you needed sustained dps and didn't want to tax the healer's mana healing your taps). And for resistance fights, nothing beats Felhunter, which allows you to squeeze in a few more dps pieces instead of pure resistance gear.
you neglected to mention the usefulness of the DS: Felhunter, which is actually better than DS: Voidwalker in raids where the healers are constrained; with this, not only do you not have to blow gcds on life tap more than not very many times, but you aren't overhealing yourself with DS:Voidwalker and the healers can more easily predict when you'll take damage(less life taps), and man it actually gives you alot of mana too
this here is a warlock spec that I would really like to try out some time... if only it would actually work

with improved scorch and +10% crit chance and CoE, I'd be doing alot of damage with searing pain spam and soulfire crits, which could break 3.5k in D2/ZG gear on debuffed bosses
