Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Me and my fellow warlock from our guild have been discussing how to increase our damage output in raids even more. We have been using DS and sacrificing sucubbus for 15% more damage. However we were thinking on respeccing to have both DS and MD and to use the mechanic where we can resurrect the pet after it was sacrificed to get back the 10% damage increase from MD.

So we would basically have 10% + 15% bonus damage.

I know this is a known fact and thing, and that Blizzard allowed it (however patched it up later) but I'm not sure how Nostalrius adresess this. I have been talking to some guilds who actively use it and said that it is allowed. However I would like to get more confirmations, and if possible an official statement from Nost on this issue. Can we do this?

Ive made two tickets asking GMs.

The first one gave a very weird vague response saying abusing bugs are a bannable offense, but due to the nature of the reply I doubt he knew what bug I were talking about.

The second I made a more detailed explanation of the bug and received a response saying its currently not a bannable offense and that its not going to get me banned for now.

Id still like a public statement, but having permission from a GM feels safe enough for me.

To be fair, I wouldn't call this a bug, nor did Blizzard when the spec was discovered. Therefore it shouldn't be bannable offense. Blizzard made the patch to disable it due to it being over powered. Players shouldn't get banned for using abilities in certain scenarios or combinations.

In the event that Nostalrius considers this combo to be over powered as Blizzard did, it shouldn't be a problem due to the fact that the developers here on Nostalrius are without a doubt skilled enough to achieve a proper patch to nerf or disable it. Whether the player base would like to download patches for private servers is a hole different discussion, personally I wouldn't mind.

Thanks on the replies guys. Yeah, Blizzard did allow it, however Nost does have some non Blizzlike policies sometimes so you can never been sure. Still hoping for a official statement.

i'd also like to know if this is going to be futher allowed by the Nost Dev's. It seems pretty powerful and I would love to use it in Raids and PVP if its okay to do so.
