Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

The quest - Knowledge of the Orb of Orahil is not available at lvl 35 from Briarthorn in Ironforge like it is supposed to be. I'm really disappointed that I can't get the off-hand like I was planning (as it is incredibly good). Anyone else experience this bug?

Fixed/Identified the problem with the help of the GM. Apparently the first step of the quest (which requires the player to speak to Briarthorn) is bugged and not available at 35, but the second step in the quest where the player speaks to Merena in Ratchet is acceptable at 35.
