Ferocious Bite bugged?

Hi,

Ferocious Bite is adding a plain amount of damage which is not increased by any stats.
Is it working as intended or bugged?

Their definitely seems to be an issue with the damage output of ferocious bite.
according to tooltip:

Finishing move that causes damage per combo point and converts each extra point of energy into 1 additional damage. Damage is increased by your Attack Power.
1 point : 50-66 damage
2 points: 86-102 damage
3 points: 122-138 damage
4 points: 158-174 damage
5 points: 194-210 damage

at 5 points with my lvl 37 druid with feral spec and 400+ attack power i'm only doing 150 damage on 5 points ferocious bite finishers.
Can other druids please confirm so we can report this as a bug.

Can definitely confirm but don't have the numbers - however ferocious bite is doing LESS damage than regular Claw and that I can confirm on 100%.

Was so much looking for Ferocious bite and rolling through enemies but.. ended up rather disappointed

When you account for armor, that's about right. Assuming you have 0 extra energy being converted to damage and assuming that AP doesn't add much damage.

But if it's doing less damage than claw, that's probably not right.

Calculating Ferociuos Bite is as follows:

5 Combo Points Min Damage = ( AP * 0,1526 + [energy - 35] * 2.5 + 685 ) * talents
5 Combo Points Max Damage = ( AP * 0,1526 + [energy - 35] * 2.5 + 735 ) * talents

5 Combo Points Max Damage with optimal Talents:

Damage = (( AP * 0,1526 + [energy - 35] * 2.5 + 735 ) * 1.15 [5/5 Feral Aggression] )* 1.1 [5/5Natural Talents]

Assuming we have 1000 AP

Damage = (( 1000 * 0,1526 + ( [100- 35] * 2.5 ) + 735 ) * 1.15 )* 1.1 = 1328.x

Maximum Damage output on a target with 0 Armor for a Value of 1000 AP on max Energy and Combo Points is 1328.3765.

1328.3765 reduced by armor usually ends up in raids onto a value between 500-700 ish noncrit depending on the debuffs.

My previous post was indeed premature and ungrounded.
I've done a testsession of applying ferocious bite with 35/100 energy and the results were indeed consistent with the damage formulas you provided. Thanks for the info about the damage calculation.

I'm currently maxing out on 1.8k AP Raid/Worldbuffed and hit for noncrits around 800 to 1400 depending on the Boss.

I can alsso confirm, it is really not worth it trying to ferobite with more that 40ish energy after a powershift. The damage difference is not worth wasting another energy tick.
