This trinket should be on top of the BiS List. Especial for Late-game it can be a good choice when u already reached ur armor cap 8-)

This trinket is undeniably good, but when you crunch the numbers it's not spectacular. Using the points for what it's worth when *on* in bear gives you 213.25 points. Now this stays active for 60 seconds and has a 2% chance of proc. Presuming an enemy attack speed of 2.0 (I can't remember what raid bosses are. If they are 2.5 then the effectiveness is less) the trinket has a chance of proccing 45.4% every minute. This does not take into account any dodge. With 20% dodge (easy to get in bear) it lowers to 38.4%. From experience with using it while leveling that amount seems about right to me. I felt like it was active generally about 1/4 to 1/2 the time while I was grinding.

Considering how it works, its effect is back weighted. It may take a while to kick in so every start to the fight you start at a disadvantage. Having faster tps and a bigger health pool to me is most important at the start of the fight and not the end, so that makes it again less appealing. Now it certainly would be useful for trash tanking and even more so for a trash tanking pally, as they excel at that. I am more concerned personally about maximizing boss survival.

The value of the trinket, using 38.4% uptime, if that's the right boss attack speed, would adjust the total value of it to 81.88 and that seems right when its put against a static 2% dodge trinket.

So what about this polearm usage in the cat BIS? http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13055 is one, but in this patch a druid cant use polearms right? A quick googlesearch says that it will be added in BC or WOTLK. I walked to the horde central weapon masters and cant learn it from them.

You answered your own question. Druids can't use polearms.

Then why is there a polearm in the CAT BIS list?

Well there isn't anymore. Good eye to find an error on the list that I found online. With all the scrutiny this list is becoming quite accurate. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
I stumbled upon that polearm because I searched for a BOE weapon. Now we deleted one... Following question: Can we add one?
The suggestion is to add: Blanchard´s Stout. On the AH for 35g right now. Its defentily on the low end of the Cat DPS Weapons list, but for the sake of a boe weapon in the list it could be added.

For the healing gear - the HEP (healing equivalency points) values appear to be derived from values that have been published in Resto guides on other projects as well & are therefore generally accepted in the community. It is important to note the BWL values assume the 3/8 T2 bonus which reduces the value of MP5 in relation to +healing.
The Naxx values assume a spec with Nature's Grace (making +crit more effective) and 4/9 T3.
For someone without access to T2 gear, the baseline HEP values (+heal=1; mp5=4; int=0.6; spirit=0.3; crit=7.5; stam=0.2) would be more appropriate with MP5 playing a larger role in healing effectiveness without 3/8 T2.
These values would better serve readers in this forum, since not everyone has progressed to 3/8 T2 and Naxx won't be available here until later this year.

This is every item as I could find it from knowledgeable sources, linked to vanilla stats, and with location or sources mentioned completely and clearly. As a bonus, I added a complete fire resist set for if you want to tackle tanking Rag.

Hi, can you please show us a formula for calculating stat weights for feral dps, i cant find any on the internet :(
