Movement speed while Prowling

Hi there!

Not sure there is another topic related to this, though I did a quick sweep without any hits - anyways here we go.

Now I'm not 100% sure about how it was like back in vanilla - long time ago, but it seems to me that while prowling neither "Dash" nor the talent "Feline Swiftness" affects your movement speed. Isn't it usually speeding up your movement speed while both prowling, and while not prowling - I know prowling reduces your movement speed by 40%, but then - from what I recall, "Feline Swiftness" and/or "Dash" would still increase your speed.

Cheers!

It sure doesn't feel likes it's working, slowmo cat. But it has been brought up before. Check out:

https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic. ... ash#p26367

"If it's correct that dash and Feline Swiftness aren't stacking (which should be the case afaik) dash seems NOT to be bugged - the movement speed increase while prowling is just hardly recognizable if you're spec'd into Feline Swiftness. Without Feline Swiftness the speed increase should be much more noticeable."

That was month ago and it might have gone broke since then. I surely can't tell if dash speeds me up any while prowling. Or when going from indoors to outdoors.

I don't know if anything has been changed since yesterday, but in my experience both Feline Swiftness and Dash very recognizably improves movement speed while prowling in catform.

Tried it some more, and with monkey speed, and it seems to be working as stated above. I find it kinda hard to see any difference ingame when testing but my speed sense might be broken. Or my cat is just too lazy, not many lives left now.

Ah okay - well might just be because I haven't been prowling without Feline Swiftness in a long time - but I notice no difference when activating Dash while prowling

When I was leveling, dash didn't work with prowl until the final rank of prowl.

Are you sure it wasn't related to the final rank of dash? The final dash rank gives you +60% movement speed, vs +40% with the first rank of dash. Feline swiftness is 30%, so the 10% increase in dash speed wouldn't be very noticable, however, +30% increase (with final rank of dash) is very noticable, and I always use it when opening on a lock/mage or someone who might detect me.

It works fine for me, lvl 60 with final rank of dash/prowl.

That's not how movement bonuses stack.

Are you saying that feline swiftness, which gives a passive 30% movement speed to cat, would directly stack with dash (+60%)? that would put you at 90% speed, and dash, even with feline swiftness, only gives 60% as far as I can tell.

Please do enlighten us.
