I only have 1/5 thick hide. And it was not improved devotion aura

I thought armour cap was 75% dmg reduction - is it bugged here as it was on peenix?

It isn't bugged, the tooltip just shows the reduction you would have if there was no cap. Also, against lvl63 bosses, the cap is higher than against lvl 60. IIRC it's roughly 17K vs lvl 60 and 21K vs lvl 63.

According to this formula, the cap on armor against level 63 enemies would be 17265 in order to reach 75% reduction from physical attacks.

I don't think that is correct. I know it says on my tooltip that when I have around 17K armor that I have about 75% dmg reduction, but that would be against a level 60 attacker. It makes more sense that it would require more armor to reach 75% reduction against a lvl63 attacker, which leads me to suspect the formula you use is the armor formula from TBC and on.

For vanilla wow it's: (according to what I can google)
Armor / (Armor - 22167.5 + 467.5 * MobLevel) for levels 60+

So according to the equation:

21855 / (21855 - 22167.5 + 467.5 * 63) = 75% reduction

21855 is the armor cap.

Turns out that might not even be correct. I think it will require some actual testing, there's a lot of conflicting info on this.

On some further investigation I have determined that you are correct. The formula for dmg reduction from armor is the one you supplied, and the armor cap vs a lvl 63 attacker is indeed around 17.5k armor.

noob question. does +armor enchants and +armor buffs scale with bear form and from talents?
