Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I killed the elemental and placed the bracers in the brazier to finish the quest. My sapta wore off before I talked to the elemental that this ritual summons. There is an npc behind the quest area who is supposed to give you another sapta if you run into this problem but I cannot speak to him. Any ideas?

I've tried dropping the quest, going back to other quest givers, killing the elemental again

Just finished. If you have this issue wait until someone else is working on the quest. They'll summon the elemental and you do not need the sapta to talk to it.
