There are some annoying bugs affecting the class/spec but overall it's fine - especially if there are multiple mobs to drop Consecrate on.

If you haven't seen some kick@$$ vids this dude made, check out his playlist here:
Eso's Paladins can DPS Playlist

Beyond that this is only meant to be shared, feel free to discuss what paladins are/are not capable of back then. Enjoy

While this paladin was pulling 500dps on Patchwerk, Lilos the fury warrior was doing 1550dps on patchwerk.

While a perfectly geared and perfectly executed retridin might do "okay" DPS-wise he normaly wouldnt be able to compete with "real" DPS classes. I would love to see a retridin pulling 800+ DPS on bosses like Ebonroc, Flamegor, Fankriss etc.

You're preaching to the choir here. Most sensible people on the Paladin sub realize that Paladins are more than capable of respectable DPS. Unfortunately, your video being posted here does nothing to change the minds of the biased masses.

The point of the thread was to link a legend player, it wasn't my class is better then yours thread, it was linking the original CT profile to see was Eso's final gear was before TBC was released, I think you guys are so busy flaming threads that you completely lost sight of what this thread was actually posted for.

So no, I'm not "preaching to the choir", I wasn't preaching, I was simply sharing. It wasn't a proving thread, it was a share a fellow Legend thread, which was clearly posted in post #1.

reck bombs !=dps, its burst. not dps.

doing a ret paladins burst rotation and getting 2k crits does not mean ret does steady high dps. Esotarious still does not out dps the exceptional rogues/warriors. the video was great for its time.

fact is, if he put that level of effort into any other of the classes, the net damage would be higher.

paladins strength is their defensive utility, not their dps. min/max elitist

Again since you fail at reading comprehension and mental intellect...

When agroed by a non damaging Judgement of Justice/Light/Wisdom, low level mobs including critters (such as scarabs in AQ40 and Rats in Naxxramas) are not gritting against Paladins when we use our /sit macro. This means that we cannot fill our Reck Bomb charges in a PvE setting.

In a similar fashion currently with Warriors, this similar bug doesn't allow them to gain rage when hitting low level mobs/critters.

Besides, you're the one who said our burst was capped at 2.5k and not the more accurate 5k+ with current gear or 8-10k with BiS forever gear.

Retail vanilla paladin here. Played ret the entire time and raided into AQ40... yeah I healed.

Heres the truth. Yeah you will never equal the dps of a warrior or rogue. However, a paladins job is to keep judgements up JoW/JoL add up quick. If a paladin tries to output maximum dps they are doing it wrong. Clutch healing and situational reaction are the talking points here.

Doubters are all assholes anyway and dont want you rolling on "their" gear. Screw them. Warriors/Rogues are mad because you are more useful.

Give me a ONE paladin with this spec in a raid NOT trying to be on top of the meters and you will be better off with than without. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#stxu0xoZZEf0t0cq

JoL or JoW are currently generally not desired on Nostalrius due to 8 debuff slots - until 16 debuff slots are implemented, we will continue to face an uphill battle I'm afraid.
