Impervious Giant vs Ice barbed spear

Thought's? Is iced bard simply better for the raw stats and high top end damage? Im thinking about trying to farm the impervious giant because the 2% critt and 1% hit. With ice barbed id probably use SoC, and with the giant id go SotC of SoR. Im currently level 50 ret spec with consecration and trying to find a weapon that i can use tell i hit 60 when i will probably respec into holy. Thanks

Mace for PVE , Polearm for PVP.

Crit = 15% extra damage to consecration and vengeance
