Best spec to get into raiding

Hello paladins, now I started playing wow in mid BC, but was a complete and utter noob at that time. That information means I have no idea how viable each pally spec was in Vanilla. I read that ret really isn't that good in raids and I saw someone say that "Paladin" and "Tank" don't go in the same sentence. So I was wondering, what spec do I have the best chance of getting into a raid in? Dps/tank/heals/? I really don't mind doing any of them to be honest, but I mostly prefer dps and healing. Also was wondering, how are shockadins right now?

Points can be swapped a bit since improved BLESSINGS can be taken by 1 pala per raid
so u go 31 20 0 better fer 5 man kings> might/wisdom

So if I was healing would I even need to take consecration? As per your build.


Edit: Actually looking at it now, consecration is better than the alternatives in the tree, even if I never use it.

Paladin spec is pretty versatile after you take 31 in holy you can take what suits your playstyle and not suffer at all really.
