Thanks a ton Alucard, I'll give those a try

EDIT: Strongly considering just rolling Holy for healing. Would certainly help gearing (who the hell is going to bring a Ret to a raid) and would be strong for group PvP content, especially the AV Rep grind once AV is released. Healers are always needed :P

Why are people QQing about Ret in PvP? It may not have as much abilities as in expansions, but Ive seen ret paladins wrecking people in BGs countless times, with the proper seal and judgement rotation it can one shot people. The warrior may hit harder, but its only that, it hits hard, no heals, no buffs, no nothing. Ret paladins are good to have around in BGs.

No, it's not "only that".
Warriors have got mortal strike debuff, Harmstring and piercing howl ( Anybody can just avoid fighting a ret if he wants too), a mass fear, sweeping strikes, charge and intercept (= stun), a cutcast, a dot ( usefull against rogues).

A ret is just wasting a warrior/ holy paladin slot in a competitive battleground ;)

Don't agree tho, i've seen some crazy annoying ret on my old server, he played really nice, spam dispell on mate/him, blessing of protect caster, doing decent dps, heal assist. A ret pal is always helpful, switching 1h/shield vs rogue/war etc, etc.

The con is that it's rng based, it doesn't proc you don't do shit. that's kinda lame

The warriors have 2 slows and the paladin 2 stuns, even odds in that mather. Stun Imo is even better than a slow because it not only stops the enemy but interupt casts. The mortal strike is the only thing a paladin cant reproduce but he can bubble and heal himself, which will waste the time of the enemy players if they dont change target fast enough so paladins have their annoying tricks as we all know too. :D
The lack of charge / intercept is compensated by the increased run / mount speed. In BGs intercept / charge are more effective than that boost, but in world PvP nobody can outrun a paladin unless skilled or haves engineering and escapes like a baws, but the average players get caught most oftenly. :D

Paladins cc can be dispelled, warriors can't.
Bubble + heal is not that great since a ret will not be a primary target in battleground.
Why would we focus something that does not deal tons of damage or has powerfull heals, is not even annoying with cc's and has tons of armor ?

In world pvp most classes can use cc's to mount and just ran, it's not with your 8% speed that you'll get them back :)
