How do you not get perma kited as Ret?

Holy Paladin will most likely heal themselves faster than their opponent is damaging them - while at the same time damaging their opponent. A Holy Paladin will just straight up out-last their opponents 1v1.

i dont agree with this at all. being stuck in fears and other cc while being nailed hard will kill you. mages having 8 second counter spells and criting for over 1k frostbolt good luck. sure you might get lucky with fake cast if they suck but sometimes your forced to heal. theres so many times where my bubble is on CD and im in a fear and i get killed in that one fear. theres no just outhealing damage.

this is true vs things like balance druids and guys with crappy gear. but big burst will own hard. i agree that holy is the best pvp spec but its fun to actually own noobs.. thats why its fun to do reckoning or retribution. or do holy/reck and be a nice hybrid is always good

You will always have trouble will a skilled hunter if you cant stunlock him.

However going 31 deep will help drastically. Repentance is very underrated. Clearly it can be used for a strong gap-close, but also a free heal, RANGED stun, or even a clutch stopcast.

The best advice. Dont put yourself in a position to be kited.

Not if they are being counter spelled, feared, pummelled, stun locked, blinded, gouged, mortal striked, death coiled, earth shocked...

Maybe, if they have 6/6 blue PvP set (the only set that has +spell damage on it with current itemization) but I don't see it happening for a Holy Paladin winning a 1v1 in that scenario if they are wearing T1, T2 or 5/10man cloth/leather +healing BiS gear.

11/9/31 Deep Ret spec while wearing Tier 2 or Tier 2.5 (when they have loads of spell damage) is actually the most effective PvP spec/itemization if you want to be able to heal, support and be able to do a good amount of damage against your opponents.

Repentance can and has saved many a flag cap for me or my fellow PvP Ret Paladins friends/guildies back on Peenix.

Otherwise, Holy/Reck is a close 2nd for pure pawnage and support overall.

You want some real PVP spec anti casters and anti (medium) melee ?

https://en.nostalrius.org/talents/palad ... 3512202051

(made mistake not putting 1 more on 2h) but whatever
(i would included sanctity aura but it suck that doesn't work with command) .
(consecration is used against rogues) .

This will make casters cry as Retri spec.

Most recommend gear for this is the Spell Damage gear from PVP using unstoppable or some strong 2h such as polearm or whatever. (ench the gear with full agility).

No love for Unyielding Faith? I figured that and the shadow resist aura would be decent protection against fear.

And how good is Vindication. This seems very... meh.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm far from level 60, but from the outside looking in, how's this?

This is not a perfect spec. You are better off getting 5/5 Illumination(only healing talent that matters) /w 4/5 Divine Intellect.

healers do well in 1v1 if you know what you are doing. ret is not a pvp spec, you hurt your team when you try and play a defensive support hybrid in an offensive role.
