even eye for an eye, repentance and improved retribution aura are useless in pve too . (as dps) .

unless you aoe tank as dps .

Repentance has its uses in PvE as a ranged pull (if the Paladin isn't an Engineer) and also useful in Naxx on the adds before Grand Widow.

But yes, Imp Ret Aura is good for when I AoE tank.

also i have never tested repentance on stuffs that are immune to stun and can be cc by enginnering >.<

1/5 redoubt works the same as 5/5 if your counting recks, what aura would you be using for this alternate Spec? cuz if you using devo, woudl 5/5 Devo be as more useful over 5/5 redoubt?

Perhaps try this:

Reckoning Paladin Starter - This is a 0/25/0 Basic Build. 1 into Redoubt so you can actually count the Reck stacks (ReckCounter is an addon instead).

Why do you need 3/3 Precision?

T1 + Flurry Axe + JoL .

less dodge/miss/parry . So we can refresh it and heal more effective the party/group.

(not all fights but still handy for many fights example 2nd boss bwl and later for naxx) .


Retribution PVE :

Why Pursuit of justice for PvE, why not 2/2 Imp Ret aura if your also meant to help with aoe tanking (that would help more imo)

-When i say Retribution PVE , i don't talk about Tanking PVE .(supporting means supporting but focus is DPS)
-For me Retribution must give their best in DPS.
-Pursuit of Justice is efficient so you can fast switch targets and run on certain stuffs (example ragnaros).
-Also it allows you to enchant boots with Agility instead minor speed which is more efficient on DPS.
-Imp Ret aura = we don't need since we use Sanctity Aura and 7 Agility is more efficient for DPS since we don't care much about AOE Tanking and we care more about maximum DPS.

More Damage while Healing and 3% hit is more than enough for PVP 2h or 1h.

Weapon switch when you struggle by plenty of Melee at you also good for Flag Carry if you go for that.

Less than 5/5 Redoubt is kinda inefficient and Improved Devo Aura will not reduce your damage taken more than 1% or 2% (more or less) which is nothing .

You just Weapon Swap . Devotion Aura will not protect you from Casters and Redoubt is by far much better against melee to survive while you charge your stacks and then Swap weapon for few seconds to Bomb him .

Simple as that : 1h Shield - eat 5 crits - switch your 2h Weap - Reckbomb - 1st Melee dead - Switch back to Shield again - next is 2nd Melee .

if you are stacking healing gear only (aka wearing a dress), you won't have any STR to boost your shield block to begin with - id rather have more dodge/parry from the def than being able to block hardly anything at all to begin with.

if u use PvP set or T1 you can go for extra shield block however - either way you have to spend your points on something to get Imp HoJ
