Maelstrom is better is you stack +spell dmg over +AP/crit

I am not trolling, it's a logical statement giving the immense ammount of data we have on realmplayers raidstats. You repeatedly saying im trolling when i logically state readily available data, is actually trolling. the moderators agree

if you sort the data by server, class etc. you will see over and over again. Ret paladins are consistently the lowest dps class. Every week, more data is added to confirm this.

they are the lowest melee dps spec, they are the lowest dps of the hybrids (enhance/cat), Why play a defensive support class as offense? Paladins are extremely good healers, very good. why not play what the class is actually good at? why force yourself into a raid? other dps will just need to pick up your slack as ret.

the ONLY class the ret paladins out-dps on a consistent basis is shadow priest, due to their mana issues.
they are literally below every other class, consistently. regardless of server.


as of writing, the best dps paladin record for Nost is = Thompa(390.2) on Gehennas , 2nd best is Thompa on lucifron (383.2) lets break this down.

Thompa = best dps ret paladin
Best boss = Gehennas @ 390.2 DPS
2nd best = Lucifron @ 383.2 DPS

Lucifron
Best rogue = Vices @1529.5 DPS
Best warrior = Juddy @ 1421.3 DPS
Best Enhance = Eeemcee @ 582 .8 DPS
Best Cat = Grayclaw @ 448.4 DPS
Best Ret =Thompa @ 383.2 DPS

The data doesnt lie, ret is consistently THE lowest dps melee spec. Even if you take out the top 100 rogue dpsers, rogues still do 700-900 which is double the best ret. a warrior in similar gear does on average 35-50% more dps. The numbers dont support the idea of ret dps.

So globally, ret paladins are the lowest melee dps spec. If a ret paladin is doing well on the meters's for a paticular raid, its a stronger indicator of the other raiders performance.

Don't play the most defensive, tankiest support healer in the game as dps, you will (as the number continuously show) be disappointed.

a tryhard ret dps = half afk badly geared rogue dps, mathematically.

Basically, none of our talents/spells/abilities either work properly or are even able to function at all in a 40man raid due to bugged debuff slots or the 8 debuff slot limit.

Ihealwpvp - I dare you to show me another class that has to deal with this amount of gamebreakinig bugs when trying to DPS.

To be fair, Ihealwpvp has a point. Due to the limitations brought onto the spec because of the bugs (which have been around for quite some time now) can do nothing but further his point. I don't agree with his consistent negativity and vehemently telling us that every Paladin needs to play Holy. He's also always looking for HPals for premade ABs so he has an ulterior motive in converting every last Paladin into a BG Healbot. I'm kidding. Maybe.

It's really hard to shake loose from this min/max thinking for a game where every nook and cranny has already been figured out. If every level 60 Paladin was Holy, that'd fill up every raiding guild and then some. It's ok to have some variety, you can still clear MC with Rets, you can still win BGs with them too. I don't want to be the chick that says "can't we all just get a long" blah blah but people play this game to have fun, and if they picked Ret or Prot and you don't like it, make one post stating your opinion, and move on

Lexi , good Paladin DPS with fixed abilities can overnuke Pure Class DPS .

Even to another server full with bugged abilities we was able to push this high .

The point is : Does the Paladin Retribution actually play PVE spec or have knowledge regarding his class?

If Paladin know his job and spec as Retribution , then there is no doubt that he would be viable same as any other pure dps classes .
