Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hey guys,

My level 33 paladin just got trashed by a 19 hunter. I have no idea what I would've done other than roll over and just wait to be killed. Is there anything I should have done? Either I would run towards him and he'd run away or I'd try to back off and just get chased at max range.

Any help?

Find a place to LOS then cirklejerk arround him with blessing of freedom and judgement spam?
Get in range for hammer of justice...

I guess that would work fine. I just wasn't around anything useful to do that in desolace.

At a area like desolace just run between mobs so eventually if he follow he will aggro:-)
Find a bunch of mobs
Pull them and run away
When u see him follow wait until he is at the origin spot of said mobs.
Bubble
Watch mob reset and aggro him
Win

a 19 hunter was trolling you in Descolace? Wow, then most likly twinked sicne the mobs alone are level 30 and 11 levels higher then the twink, I could give recommendation if you can let me know your Talent build. at 33, if you got aoe, that works great first stunning the target, Blessing of freedom allows you to avoid snaring effects like Wing Clip, Frost Trap, Concussion Shot. Don't focus the pet, but you can psyk him out run away a bit making him change to your direction, focus his pet for a sec or two, bubble and run to him. Once you get in range, stun, aoe and Lay out the judgements. Once his 6 sec stun wears off, use freedom and STAY on the hunter. If you don't have the aoe, same rule can apply. If they are twink though, GL they most likely rehearsed their strategy.

At lower levels against hunters:

1. Run towards the hunter. They can't auto while moving (they can stutterwalk). But for the love of light do not run away from the hunter.
2. Autoattack the pet. You can get autoattacks off by strafing towards the hunter. This even shocks some newbie hunters into calling their pet back or forgetting to run away from you. That pet isn't so tanky, it might actually die while you chase the hunter (rarely does though).
3. BoF to keep you rolling.
4. Purify that Serpent sting immediately. It's basically the only thing doing damage if the hunter is constantly moving (arcane shot hits like a wet noodle and the pet shouldn't do too horrible damage since you wear plate).
5. Save your hammer for stopping aimed shots or when you're actually on top of the hunter. No sense to waste it at 10 yards only to spend time running towards the hunter.

Does this quarantee a win? No. But it gives you a couple of trick against hunters and works wonders against those "hurrdurr I roll huntar cuz pet" and other newbs.

Apparently LoS isn't working (bugged or overlooked on scripting) so don't count that much in it.

It is really hard to get to a hunter who is already far away. I would recommend you to have Swiftness Potions always in your inventory so you can use Swiftness Pot+ Bless Freedom to get close to him. Once you're close always be prepared to judge him if he switches to aspect of the cheetah to daze him. If you let him run away from you its more or less GG.

Engineering as primary profession for Iron Grenades which will allow you to stun and get in range.

Yea, what Theloras said. Engi = Bis pvp.

Pursuit of justice makes you faster and seal of justice gives you auto attacks a chance to stun, slower the hunter. Just has been served.
