SoC bugged, or unlucky?

SoC bugged, or unlucky?

by Goatmab » Fri Jun 19, 2015 7:34 pm

I have been noticing more and more lately that for at least 50% of my mobs I will go without a single SoC proc, which means it takes me so long to kill something that I have to re-cast SoC. At 7 ppm, I should be getting 3-4 procs per cast.

This does not seem to be the case, so is SoC bugged or am I just unlucky?

I am using a 3.2 speed weapon, would a slower weapon make a big difference?

3.2 is shite for SoC - you want as slow as possible so anything slower than 3.5 to 4.0

you should just use Seal of the Crusader with anything faster than 3.5 swing speed

make a bug report with evidence i.e pictures of your combat log bro, a video would be better

He was right, it was the weapon speed. I upgraded to a 3.8 speed wep and its so much better. Procs at least once per cast now

yea 3.2 swing speed is $hite for SoC - if you still want to use that weapon then I would highly recommend using Seal of the Crusader instead, otherwise stick with your 3.8 and SoC :)

3.8 is good, but 3.9 is even better! Highly recommend all leveling rets run Ulda for Stoneslayer, this thing is amazing. SoC seems to proc every 2nd-3rd swing. Got it at 46, I'm 55 now and it's still going strong, doubt I'll replace it until 60 :D

SoC is random damage and therefore mostly useful for PvP and long boss fights. For questing improved SoR deals about the same damage just more reliable.

You are better off using SotC+ rank 1-3 Consecration when leveling or any PvE whatsoever. A lot less frustration and if you pull 2-3mobs at a time dps goes insane.

Thanks for the link to my thread, but I should say that I did discover a small error that will slightly
change the stat weights, but not by anything significant.

The threshold for SotC vs SoC is 3.6 speed. Anything faster, use SotC. Slower, use SoC. It's up to you at 3.6 speed, but I personally use SotC at that point for a bit more consistent and reliable dps.
