Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hello and thank you for looking at my post!

My buddy and I are rerolling on the PvE server on Friday and we plan on spending an extensive amount of time in BGs on our way up. He's planning on playing a rogue and I'm torn between a few classes. I'm wondering if some players can weigh in on their experiences in low level BGs, preferably if they were primarily healing.

I intend on, at the very least, taking 5/5 Divine Intellect and 5/5 Spiritual Focus to get to Consecration. I played a Paladin on retail most recently and I love the utility and the toolkit.

How is Holy Paladin healing output in the 19, 29, 39, etc. brackets. Also, how durable are they? I understand the advantage of mail/plate armor but I'm assuming I'll be wearing a lot of cloth for the mana.

Any insight the community can provide would be much appreciated!

They're decent at best in 19-29 until healing gear is added, at least for 29. Holy Light gotta be mashed pretty hard to heal through anything with 0 +heal and Holy Light ranks 1-4 have 43% SP scaling instead of 71% on R4+. A bug no one cares about cause this generation of pally just spams nothing but FoL and being statistically forced to doesn't matter at all to them.
