You can call me bad person for requesting fix on something that is not Vanilla.

As Protection Paladin player , i do represent myself and i always been Protection in retail over 10 years.

But that is me , i want pure Vanilla . The same way i report any other bug , i also report this which in my opinion is not Vanilla.

https://report.nostalrius.org/plugins/tracker/?aid=418

Enjoy and would love debate regarding this.

Report seems to go way off topic. Fenrir had a good idea; if you can prove the coefficient is off, search for a ticket about it,and if you can't find one, create a new ticket about it.

report was : shall consecration work with attack power or not.

regarding coefficient i will post him later .

Because for now i see they deny the keyrole evidences ,i have a bad feeling on further and current reports for our abilities.

Wowwiki - Paladins as tanks wrote:
An effective tank of any class must accomplish two things:

  • Hold aggro on monsters the group is fighting
  • Mitigate damage from those monsters enough to stay alive

In order to hold aggro on a target, a tank must be able to generate more threat than their comrades. A paladin tank accomplishes this mainly by dealing a large amount of Holy damage while under the influence of Righteous Fury.

A protection paladin's bread and butter threat generation tools are Consecration and Holy Shield. Extra threat can be generated with Retribution Aura if the mitigation from Devotion Aura is not needed.

[...]

Protection Paladins will find it impossible to tank any mob that is immune to spell damage, and difficult to tank mobs that spam Mana Burn. Mobs or bosses that silence the paladin tank will greatly hinder threat generation, because every tanking ability the paladin has is a spell.

So... We want SP scaling fix please!!!!!!!!

sp already scale , but attack power should not work with this .

I presented them all evidence that it never scaled with ap.

Therefore they denied without evidence.

I don't agree with Duki on a whole lot of things, but the fact that the devs believe consecration should scale with AP is rather worrying

see this :

https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic. ... 30#p189781

we can disagree eachother on basic stuffs , but denying evidences without showing their sources and based on assumptions worry me too much . personally i wasted tons of time trying to find solutions and evidences for our bugs . And now i got this as result .

It should stack with attack power and spell power.

Patch 2.0.1 (05-Dec-2006): Doesn't scale with attack power anymore.

Talking about some edited information by Wowwiki as Evidence which is countered by Blizzard and every other source is rather more than stupid thing to do.

This is just "double standards" .

In another report Nano clearly said :

Another server's mechanics and wowwiki are not reliable proofs.

I did some testing on 8 lvl owls outside of Darnassus
1. Naked (AP 149) - consecration ticks 14
2. STR gear (AP 243) - consecration ticks 18
3. SP (minor wizard oil +8 SP) - consecration ticks 14
4. INT/SPI gear (AP 149) - consecration ticks 14 (just in case)

I played a protpally in BC and paladin spells depended only on SP there. I'm not sure if vanilla was different. I used a sp weapon, wizard oils and sometimes rings with sp and sp elixirs to hold aggro effectively.

BTW, smilkovpetko, you posted a link to one of the Atraira movies. It seems like he reads the comments. Maybe you can ask him.
