Level 50! Now what to do with my build?

Hello fellow mages! I've been leveling here on Nost with the AoE Frost build. Now that I'm going to be 50 I wantesd to know if I should change my build to a more Dungeons and Pre-Raid one? I' also thought about stopping AoE leveling at all at 50 and start questing. Any recommendations? Thanks you in advance!

The AoE build is fine for dungeons and raiding. If you use the standard build listed in this forum you'll have the 100% chance to add crit percentage to the target and the Arcane Frost mages will love you.

Don't do it! You can start AoE grinding on DM: East Lashers at 52 and take these all the way to level 60. The loot is good enough that mages farm it for gold anyways so you get a lot of nice trash/greens/herbs as well as like 60-75k exp/hr once you've mastered how to do it fast. Theres a video someone made on youtube showing how to do it.

Agree with the post above me, even at 60, you may want to still stay frost for a while. At around 57 or 58, you can solo the first boss of DM north (for sublime wrist guards, you'll want these as they are BIS) and you can still get great xp as well as a lot of gold in the process.

Arcane mages weren't rading viable until TBC - and even then they needed a Shadow Priest Mana battery and the trinkets.

You got a wrong spec in mind.Arcane FROST is the only way to go for pure dps atm. No you're not using Arcane Missiles, you'e still using Frostbolt but you take all the damage increasing talents from both Arcane and Frost tree.

Are you sure it will work for lvl 52? I'm sure you'll be quite an aggro magnet there. I'm dinging 52 within a couple of weeks so I'm interested to try that out.

Nost has spawns arranged differently. It's super easy mode here compared to this video. Can do it at 52 (I would say 54 to have some safety margin), just need to die a few times to learn how the patrols work.
