3/3 permafrost to increase your slows and also the frostbolt r1 duraton
3/3 frostbite for your ice armor
5/5 firepower cause that is they reason to split the talents up this way
0/5 iceshards cause you will not use frost spells unless for kiting
1/3 imp blizz for cc

What's the best leveling spec though? Full frost?

Frost for leveling cause shatter is really strong.
Fire scales better with gear so its really powerful later on.

After going through many different PvP scenarios in my head, I have ended up with this spec. This talent build covers up duels, battlegrounds and World PvP.
I have specifically chosen to think about the pros and cons with the following spells, because they seem to take up most discussions:

Arcane
Magic Absorption
Magic Attunement
Improved Arcane Explosion

Frost
Permafrost
Piercing Ice
Improved Blizzard

you should have 3/3 imp blizz and 3/3 perma IMO.

the combination of those two, especially with frostbite, is fairly broken.

I'm leveling as fire now after I changed from frost
I can notice that I'm killing mobs like 3x faster lol, not a joke

I always played frost, leveling and PvP in my entire life, now am boom boom fire and it's actually nice dps =)
Now we will see in PvP, can't tell much yet

So, i never played mage in Vanilla and i'm a bit confused. I read all the threads in this forum and still I'm not sure if I should rly put points into imp blizzard (and permafrost) if i don't plan to do aoe leveling. Is it really worth it? =/
Maybe you could explain that to me a little bit more in detail.
