Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I can't find any reliable sources anywhere, can someone who has played mage in vanilla tell me the absolute BiS of the entire vanilla game for mage?

Highly depends on your playstile and what kind of PvP you prefer (BGs, flagcarrying, World PvP etc.)
Just an example:
If you are planning on oneshotting enemies the 8set tier2 bonus is quite funny
If you want to flagcarry you should go for stamina

However there are some BiS items you should always try to get:

Mind quickening gem (33% haste is insane for pmuch anything)
Various engineering / useful quest items, listed in a thread I can't seem to find...


Too bad there is no "chardev" or similar and i'm not bored enough to look up all items and set up the perfect gear xD

Most spec and playstyle would use the pvp epic set over anything else, off set and trinkets best items are from raids.

Thing about trinkets is that you can only have 2 of them. And the pvp trinket is essential so you really only have one. I've got the gnomish net o matic right now, and gnomish rocket boots.

I'm aiming for battlegrounds and world pvp. I just want to know what I should be shooting for when the entirety of vanilla is released.

No, you need a lot more than 2 trinkets, you have to switch off combat depending on the cooldowns and the situation
