first of all i know that DEEP FROST IS THE PVP build vor bgs, premades, ...
i love fire and think it can be a lot fun for open world pvp and some random bgs (with good gear)!

now i have two very similar arcane/fire builds (NO! 3min mage):
which one is better?

imo imp counter spell is a must have in pvp.
therefore i dont really go for frost mix.
the other important skills in the arcane tree are +crit, +armor and of course PoM

The first spec you linked is not as good as the second one

This type of firepower + POM build is great, but only if you have something like Zandalarian hero charm, otherwise all the points in arcane aren't really worth it.

Another great option is to go deep fire elemental. Despite what the previous poster said, it is a great pvp spec as you get double adblock AND shatter.

Of course in both of these videos, the mage's gear is BiS. The best spec for poor geared mages will always be frost

what gear should i get?
is there some raid gear with +fire dmg, or +spell dmg?
