Same IP

Hello, I know there is a strict rule to have just one account, but what if my brother wants to join Nostalrius? Or if I am going on LAN and play at my friends house on the same IP with him? Should I worry?

I think there is a limit on accounts with same server IP, but I had my son's over this past few weeks and they created accounts and we played as a group with no issues.

I don't think there's a 1 account per person rule unless it's new. I have 3 and that's the max, you can't make any more after that. As for the IP concern this past week I was at a friends house where we played at the same time a lot without issue.

Well, I don't see why there would be a limit on how many people you have over playing wow at your house. Ive had a whole party of 5 at my house gaming with no issues. Maybe they just observe people who have mutliple connections or something? Cause I dont see why they wouldnt want people to have friends over.. tho I do understand they dont want multiboxing

There's no limitation on how many people can be playing online at the same time from the same IP.

There is however a limitation on how many accounts can be registered from the same IP.

You can have as many people actively playing from the same IP as you want: friends or family at your house, college peers, roommates, etc. As long as you're each on your own account playing your own characters, there's nothing wrong. If, however, you are trying to register accounts for multiple people, you will run into an issue once you've made your third account as there is a strict three accounts registered per IP limit.

In that case, just register the remaining accounts from a different computer or mobile device
(Smartphone or tablet).
