Are chat bots allowed?

by djriot » Sun Aug 09, 2015 6:09 am

There is a player in alliance who has a message set to repeat every 100 seconds in trade chat. Coincidentally it also requires player interaction (it is a request to purchase something via COD.)

I, too, would love to be able to buy stuff for bargain rates while I'm not at my computer.

A side effect of this is the player stays online, and is allowed to continue taking up server time while not at the computer.

Is this allowed?

This is more of a support question.

As long as it is all done via the API it should be ok. (Before AV-gate I'd say it was 100% ok if it was all API)

If it involves 3rd party or physical automation however it is the polar opposite and subject to a permaban.

Please report him through the in-game ticket system and we will investigate.

Doesn't matter; only two categories are allowed: Stuck and Harassment.

Everything else refers you to the Nostalrius bugtracker.
