Disconnecting every hour or so

Hey all,

I've been disconnecting every hour or so since I've started on Nostalrius Begins. At first I didn't mind but it gets annoying when you are in a dungeon and you DC and then are dropped from the group.

I'm running windows 7 and AVG anti virus.

Has anyone else been having this problem? Is there anyway to track this this sort of thing to see if it happens when another application runs/tries to update/does something I'm not currently aware of?

Any help about coming to the bottom of this would be great. Thanks

Could be so many reasons why this is happening, at first guest I would say maybe your router is causing it, maybe it is overheating and restarting or just simply has an issue and is restarting itself.

What I would suggest is play with another internet connection (your phone's internet tethering or something like that) and see if it still happens, if it stops disconnecting you then id bet its your router. If it does keep happening then it's most likely something going on on your PC, once you confirm PC or router, then go from there.

Without more information its so hard to guess as to what the problem is at this point, Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Billy. I decided to do a little digging into if it was my internet and it was. Specifically, it was a DHCP issue.

For some reason my lease time would expire briefly and then quickly renew. I just increased my lease time and the problem has gone.

Hopefully this helps anyone who has a similar issue.
