Cant write in general chat

Hi, is there anyway I can fix this problem? I tried logging in and out but it doesnt work

Log out and while WoW is closed, try deleting your WTF folder under the WoW Classic folder, then log back in and see if anything changes.

Additionally, where's WoW installed to on your computer? Is it under C:\Program Files (x86) or somewhere else?

You have to be level 5 to be able to use chat channels.

I am having the same issue. I have deleted the WTF folder and there has been no change. My game is installed in the directory mentioned above.

Try moving your WoW folder out of the Program Files directory. Browse to the C:\Program Files (x86) folder, locate, right click, and "Cut" the World of Warcraft Classic folder then go back and paste it on your C: drive, so it should look like this: C:\World of Warcraft Classic.

Then try opening WoW.exe, login, and see if anything changes.
