Mac Nightsaber stalker NPC bugged

I'm currently levelling my Night elf hunter and i have reached level 10 and am trying to complete the Hunter class quest for my pet,

The problem is that i'm stuck on the 2nd quest in the Night elf starter area. In this part i need to tame a Nightsaber stalker and bring it back to the hunter trainer in the 2nd Nelf village. The reason as to why i am stuck is that i cannot tame Nigthsaber stalkers because for some reason they aren't classified as a beast and rather they have no classification at all (a bit like the oozes and slimes around the wetlands). Also no one else seems to be having this issue. I've tried re-installing and re-downloading the game and i've also abandoned the quest and re tried it. i also deleted my WTF folder. Nothing has worked so far

So to some it up i can't complete one of the most essential quests for hunter all because the beast i need to tame is not a beast and is just nothing.

I am playing on a Mac so this may be why i am the only one so far that has had this problem.
