FPS

by Banochka » Mon Nov 02, 2015 2:57 am

Hey guys. My pc specs are i7-930 GTX 560ti 8 gb ram.
Running windows 8.1.
Still can't understand why my fps in raids is around 35-40... When im standing in Ironforge near Bank in peak hours it sometimes drops below 30 (25-30)... Already tried to use https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0
This command from GUIDE to optimize my game. Still not works for me.
Any help about this? Cuz when im asking my guildies who's runnign windows 8.1 and almost same PC specs they are keep saying that their FPS in ironforge is around 50 + and they dont have lags in raids.

Also tried to run game without any addons. Same story. Same fps.

Same GPU as you. Probably has to do with quad core processor. I'm on dual core and have no issues lol.

VanillaWoW is CPU bound, performance relies heavily on one strong core. Your CPU is kinda old but it should be able to run the game over ~80 Frames anywhere.
Couple of ideas: Run the game in developer mode and activate more cores for the game. (Yet again, this shouldnt be an issue)
Try turning of V-Sync in video settings
Install Win7 and play happily forever.

So the best idea is to install Win 7? My resolution si 1920 x 1080. Cuz i already tried to turn off all addons and reduced all graphics.

Anyway i installed WIndows 7 30 mins ago. Turned off Windowed mode in wow. Now setting timeOverrideMode. FPS feels alot BETTER. Im not getting instant fps drops in Ironforge. And stable 60 + fps. SOmetimes it drops around 55. Will test it in peak hours.
