Message to the Wildhammer (Horde Quest)

I abandoned this quest due to empty my quest log for feralas first but now the NPC cannot give me the quest again. He still has an exclamation mark over his head but even sharing the quest does not work since I'm not eligible for that quest anymore for unknown reasons.

Same thing happened to me, but I dinged while handing in first part. Clicked "accept" for the follow-up. However quest did not show up in my log.
