Am I breaking the Terms of use?

I went to the itemcache.wdb file and modified a hexadecimal adress to get Worn Shortsword to look like a Thunderfury. It's very simple to do and it resets when I delete the wdb folder. So my question is, is doing this breaking the terms of use of the server? The anti cheat system isn't detecting it and as you can see the stats of the item are unchanged.


I wanted to try this out because there are some weapon skins like vis'kag's that I can't stand and I wanted to change it to something less obnoxious.

NOTE: No modifications were made to the client itself, this is why I don't consider it "client modding"

Client side modifications are bannable if gm's ot cheat detector find out. The chance is slim but still ...

I'll go out on a limb here and say that this is probably ok. The wdb, wtf and interface folders are all traditionally considered ok to do whatever you want with.

They probably won't reply to this. It's not a modification to the client. And if they do, they'll probably go full retard on it.
