Chat keeps breaking

Does anyone have the issue where your chat seems to stop working completely? My /say and /1 General Chat doesn't work periodically and it's really frustrating. Sometimes it'll work for 1 or 2 lines, then stop working for 10 minutes regardless of if I relog or not. Whispers work fine, but any type of public chat does not. It seems completely random and I can't chat to party or trade..

I relog, exit, reboot, leave channel and rejoin, etc. nothing seems to remedy this problem. Is it a server side chat issue that I'm not aware of?

I do not seem to have this issue, but, that doesn't mean it isn't happening, do you have any addons installed that may be interfering with it?

I did have trouble with /1 chat once before but logging out was the solution for that.

some chat issues will be resolved once you have at least one character at or past level 20 in your account.

I had this issue all the time. I'm resolving it by running a macro:
/leave General
/leave LookingForGroup
...
/join General
/join LookingForGroup
...
