Disconnecting repeatedly

by Scripples » Mon Jan 18, 2016 6:08 am

I have been playing flawlessly the past few days on Nostalrius. However, after recently entering the Orgrimmar AH I have been getting disconnected roughly every 5 - 20 seconds. I don't know what to do. I deleted my WTF folder, and have even completely uninstalled the game, rebooted, and reinstalled to no avail. What could be causing this? It seems to be an issue away from my end. Please help!

if you have more than 50 bids that may be the problem, there is currently a bug that when you have +50 bids you get a crash from the AH. Now if you mean actualy dc, then it might be an addon, I was having the same problem recently and for some reason it stopped the next day, no idea what was causing it, it was also just that character, any other char was fine

My mate had this same issue, and it turns out in his Data folder there was a speech2.mpq after he deleted that he had no issues of disconnection.

He has no idea where it came from, so I would check there and see if you have that, if so move it out of your Data folder to your Desktop and see if that fixes it.

After the clean install of World of Warcraft Classic I kept everything the way it was, meaning I don't have any AddOns that could cause the DC. I also checked my data folder for something out of place and I don't see anything (no speech2.mpq) It is with all characters as well. Also I don't have any bids on the AH, just a few auctions posted.

UPDATE: I created a new character on a totally different realm and within seconds of logging in I DC'ed. So I went back to the character screen and stayed there for about 5 minutes without a DC. This tells me it is something in the world causing it. The characters I have tried logging in on are spread all across the map, so it's not just one area.

I am completely lost at this point. It can't be my end, I have restarted and re installed World of Warcraft Classic eliminating something in my computers RAM/cache. As well as a corrupt file. Please help me!

UPDATE: Okay so I cleared my pagefile which did nothing, BUT I decided to run the game in admin mode and it is working fine, when I switch to regular user I DC. What could have caused this?
