I found out my hard drive has been damaged some how I'll have to replace it which means I'll be losing all my saved data including nostalrius, this sucks badly im going to have to reinstall everything so I'm wondering will my account be lost with the hard drive and will i have to start over again with the new installation process.I put in alot of time into the character it would be terrible to find out i have to start a new account, or does my account stay There for good regardless of the hard drive it's running on this might be common sense but i need reassurance some knowledge would be much appreciated thanks.

your character/account is saved on the server, not the client.

the only thing you will lose is any saved addon configurations.
